What is the chemical formula of biogas?

There isn’t a single formula for biogas since it’s a mixture. The main part is methane (CH4), which usually makes up 50–70% of biogas. The rest is carbon dioxide (CO2) and traces of gases like hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Methane is the fuel that makes biogas burn.
